I've just come across this music video, and I really really like it. To do something like this would take a lot longer than the time we have, and a lot of editing and someone who can draw, so it's too ambitious in all honesty. But i have taken inspiration from it, with the split screen and words and the scenery and would like to produce something with part of this involved.

Kasabian- Switchblade Smiles
I am inspired by this music video as I think the video as a whole is very simple yet effective. I like the black and white aspect of the video as it gives it a straight forward feel, and linking this with the white background contrasting with the black clothing, equipment and hair make the imagery quite powerful.
Miles Kane- Better Than That
I would like to use the setting of the rehearsal room in this video in my own video as i like the home made look. I could achieve this by using the 'Quad' rehearsal rooms in leicester (see locations post)
Give Up- Miles Kane
the band I am using for my music video also like and know this song very well, and i think the song would work well, especially if i get a girl involved for some 'mysterious' shots. I also like the use of the projected words on the back ground (also used when Kasabian play live) and the colours and silhouettes to take inspiration form.

Come Closer- Miles Kane
I am using this song for my video as the band I am filming enjoy and know the song well. I want to use ideas from a few of Kasabian and Miles Kane's music videos such as the coloured lighting, black and white effect in the music video for Switchblade Smiles and also the plain white background. I could achieve this background by asking to use a studio in places such as Leicester college.

Clubfoot- Kasabian
This song and music video includes a range of dynamics and different tempo's, as does the song I have chosen, encouraging interesting camera angles and effects that relate to the genre of Kasabian's music: Indie Rock, Psychedelic rock and electronic rock as these genres include lots of special effects, colours and lights in both the music and imagery. I have used this as inspiration as the lights on stage during a performance give the impression of this atmosphere.
